Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed off his language skills Monday in a video wishing the world a happy Lunar New Year — in Mandarin.

“Happy New Year!” he says in the subtitled video, sitting with his wife Priscilla Chan and baby daughter Max. “Priscilla and I are very excited to celebrate our first Lunar New Year with Max.”

After sharing what his family did to mark the beginning of the year of the monkey, he revealed Max’s Chinese name: Chen Mingyu.

“Chen” is after Priscilla's family name, and “Mingyu” represents “our hope for a brighter tomorrow for the world,” Zuckerberg said.

Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see Zuckerberg speaking the language.

The 31-year-old billionaire has been studying Mandarin for years — and there’s the small matter of it being the most widely-spoken language in the world. But nonetheless, it’s impressive.

Plenty of others seem to think so, as the video has been liked by more than 1.2 million people and viewed more than 25 million times on Facebook.

What remains to be seen is what his daughter will think one day.

“You think my Chinese is bad?” he asks her in the video.

She’ll let you know soon enough, Dad.
