Let’s get one thing out there before we begin: Justin Timberlake is, in his own words, “definitely working on a new album.” Cue the angels' chorus! It’s been three years since Timberlake dropped some new beats, and we are pumped.

Now what you’re really here for: baby poop. In an interview with Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio, the singer had some sweet things to say about fathering his 1-year-old son, Silas, before he started talking dirty (literally).

“It’s one of those bridges you cross in life that everyone tries to explain to you, and now I know why they couldn’t,” Timberlake said. “You can’t explain what happens.”

Okay, but Justin, can you try? Of course he can:

“I don’t know what the hell I did before,” he continued. “Every day is just watching them grasp onto something and learn something. It blows your mind. It’s been an extremely humbling experience.”

So adorable. And… “I’ve never had more poop on my person,” the singer added — and was quick to set straight all the dog owners who might think they can relate.

“It’s just not the same,” he clarified. “When you clean up your dog’s poop, you roll in there with the heavy-duty Bounty paper towel, you stand like you’ve got a 10-foot pole ... When you have a kid, you just get in there.”

Getting in there he is, and Timberlake hopes his day job as executive music producer of the new “Trolls” movie will win him some points with little Silas. “The movie comes out in November, so hopefully by that time he’ll be kind of into the toys and things like that,” Timberlake said. “But who knows, maybe by the time he watches the movie he’ll be like, ‘Dad, that’s not cool!’”

You? Not cool? Never.
