Saturday marked a big milestone for Savannah Guthrie's 1-year-old son, Charley: The little guy got his very first haircut!
The TODAY anchor took to Twitter to celebrate the occasion with before-and-after photos, as one does with any great transformation. Savannah shared a picture of Charley sporting longer locks alongside another of him cheesin' big with his new cropped 'do.
Several commenters pointed out that the "after" photo highlights Charley's striking similarity to his dad, Savannah's husband Michael Feldman. "It's a little Mike clone!" one user wrote.
After all, Charley does look so big now! Savannah's little ones are growing up oh-so fast.
Just this week, Savannah sent Charley and daughter Vale, 4, off to school with a series of sweet photos. The two kiddos sport backpacks and adorable back-to-school outfits. In one of the snapshots, Vale plants a kiss on Charley's head.
"My heart bursts (and breaks) to look at these two headed off to their first day of school!" she wrote on twitter. "Thanking God this day and every day for my little dreams come true."
Savannah sure does treasure every moment with her two kids.
“You work in a job like ours and it's so public, people think, ‘Oh, my gosh, that must have been the thing that you focused on your whole life. That must have been your dream. That must have been the only thing you worked for,'” Savannah told co-anchor Hoda Kotb before Mother's Day this year. “In the end, all I ever wanted was just to have a family."
So sweet. Cherish these wonderful milestones, Savannah and Mike! And if emotions get the best of you, just remember Vale's outlook: Anything can be solved with ice cream.
