There's nothing like a mother's comfort when you're feeling down.

Barker's Pet Motel and Grooming saw this firsthand, when it witnessed a sweet scene in its kennel Saturday. As the Canadian pet motel, which also takes in foster animals in hopes of adopting them out, put it: "We see a lot of adorable things here at Barkers but this story takes the cake."

The heartwarming scene unfolded as two puppies featured in the photos, Hannah and Kari, arrived at Barker's from the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society and started crying during the night.

Another dog in the kennel, Maggie, who came to Barker's from the Humane Society and whose own puppies had already been adopted, heard the new arrivals crying and managed to get out of her kennel in order to sit next to their room and comfort them.

When the employees at Barker's saw what Maggie had done, they let her spend time with the puppies and "all 3 of them were so happy."

And there's a happy ending! In another post, the pet motel wrote that all three dogs now have adoptions in the works.

Looks like they'll all be getting new (human) moms and dads!
