Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! What is going on here? Why, it's a whole "Saved by the Bell" restaurant, and we think even Principal Belding would appreciate it.

Saved by the Max, which we first reported on in February, is really happening! The pop-up restaurant will be modeled off of the popular Bayside High hangout The Max, which was featured on the show during its five-season run from 1989-93.

Organizers hired comedian/magician Ed Alonzo, who recurred as Max on the show, to help with the launch — and he's made a high-energy video urging "Bell" fans to get ready for the launch.

The pop-up restaurant will be located in Chicago's Wicker Park area (1941 W. North Avenue, for those already making plans), and will be open throughout the month of June. According to the Chicago Tribune, dinner service is set to start at 5 p.m. on weekdays, a weekend brunch will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and there will be a late night menu.

But if you want to make sure you can get a seat, you'll have to make a reservation — and those start on Friday, April 22 at 11 a.m. at SavedBytheMax.com. (Brunch/late-night service will be walk-in only.)

And what can fans expect on the menu? To start with: Macaroni & Screech, AC Sliders and a Lisa Turtle Milkshake.

Restaurant organizer and local events manager Derek Berry told Chicagoist that he had the idea for a few months before a space "literally fell into my lap" that would be perfect. And he's very happy that there's all this buzz about the project.

"I'm super pumped with the press and hearing them discussing it on The TODAY Show and seeing it on the front page of some pretty big publications," he said. "But when [former cast members] Mario Lopez Instagrammed a picture of the event page shouting out the 'AC Sliders,' I was like, 'Oh man, it's on!'"
