More Merkley Hiccups

Ooops...I really meant to cover this story on Friday, but took the day off and spent two days hunting. However it looks like the Merkley campaign continues to have hiccups. Now in his zeal to be divisive and tear Oregon apart he has wrongly accused Sen. Smith of those tactics. Roll Call Magazine picked up the Merkley press release regarding the recent confirmation of a judge and Sen. Smith's vote in favor of the confirmation, and spotted Merkley's mistake instantaneously. Merkly, responding like a rookie quarterback to a linebacker blitz, then knee-jerked a press release accusing the Senator of being divisive and tearing America apart. However... Oooops... From Roll Call Mag:"I can't wait to see Merkley tell California Democrat Diane Feinstein, South Dakota's Tim Johnson,North Dakota's Kent Conrad and West Virginia's Robert Byrd" that they're part of the far right agenda and helping tear the nation apart, Rothenberg wrote. I'm wondering if someone pulled the Merk campaign
